Tap-to-Cook

Tap-to-Cook is a fun game for Apple devices (iPhone, iPod, iPad, etc.) Spend some time out on the streets making burgers and other fun foods for the citizens! It's a fast paced game, but so much fun and so enjoyable.

Cook the hamburgers (or veggieburgers!) and add condiments like ketchup and mustard. Fry up some onions to put on them too, along with french fries! Serve fresh sodas to anyone who asks.

Definitely check out this app if you enjoy games like this!

Trip To Connecticut

Last summer I went to Connecticut for Vans Warped Tour. It was the worst 4 days of my life. The people that I had to stay with did a horrible job at having guests. We were forced to sleep in a tent outside while it was raining, and it was cold and wet. We weren't allowed to take showers, and on the day of Warped we were crammed together with hundreds of people at a time, paying $3 for a bottle of water and not eating anything because the prices were so high. Returning home was seriously the best part of the entire trip.

What If I Died?

I always thought about what I would want to say to people if I knew I was going to die. And I also wondered how people would feel when I died. I wondered if they would feel like they didn't get to spend enough time with me, or that the last thing they said to me wasn't good enough.

So this is what I did:

I got an app on my laptop which is more of a journal, and I told my sister about it. On this app I have a journal called "To Everyone". Inside are letters written to everyone that I love or have ever cared about, and if I ever die it's my sister's job to deliver them to everyone. I just want them all to know how I really felt about them, and I don't want them to have any horrible thoughts about our last words or last moments together.

It's a rough thing to think about, but it's definitely made me feel better knowing that I'd leave behind something for everyone to hold onto for comfort. Writing the letters really brings up a lot of emotions and feelings, and it can definitely drag in some emotions from the past, but it's worth every second knowing that these people will all know what I really thought.

I truly recommend for everyone to do this, in case one day a tragic accident happens, and there was nothing else that you left behind for them. It's a great thing to do, just in case.

Webkinz

I played Webkinz all the time when I was younger, and I still get on now and again to see what's going on. Oh, let's face it, I play it every day.

Webkinz is a fantastic children's website! You can purchase Webkinz in stores or online, and use the code on the tag to add your Webkinz to an online account. From there you can play games to earn KinzCash, the form of currency that you use to purchase rooms and furniture for your pet's home, or food for them to eat!

There are tons of fun daily games to play, like the Wheel of Wow, which provides you with KinzCash or another gift every day. There are daily jobs that you can do, like babysitting, working on the doctor's office, or typing! You can also go mining for gems to create the Legendary Crown of Wonder for your pet.

Another great part about Webkinz is that you don't have a limit! You can have multiple Webkinz on one account, and you can switch between the ones that you want to play as. Each Webkinz that is purchased provides you with a year of playtime.

There is also a Deluxe membership, which adds more and more cool things to the game! But playing for free is also just as fun.

Moving

Moving has always been a wonderful experience for me. When my parents got divorced I had to move all of my stuff over to a new house that my dad bought. It was kind of fun packing things up and looking at everything that I have! Over a period of time I ended up moving a lot of my stuff into my boyfriend's apartment. His parents just started renting a trailer instead, and now I get to move everything into there! At this point I'm tired of it, but at the same time it's exciting. Moving can be a hassle for some people, but it's always just been so much fun for me! I love it!

How does moving make you feel?

Boxes

I recently started using an app called Boxes. This app is great in so many ways. This app allows you to buy and sell items straight from your Apple device, including shoes, clothing, hardware, cars, furniture, and more! That's what I originally got this app for, and then I discovered other features.

This app also allows you to keep track of all the items you own. In the second picture above, it shows categorized boxes. When using the app, you click "Add Item". It will then have you take a picture of the item, or get a similar picture from the web. You can add details to the item, like what it is, add a description, and store it in your chosen box. You can also add a purchase price, the valued price, a receipt, bar code, and more! It's so simple to keep track of everything that you own.

My boxes specifically include movies, CDs, and books. I use this app in case I lose anything in a fire. It will allow me to go back and look at everything that I owned so that I can repurchase anything important that I lost. It's just a really great app for keeping track of your belongings, and easily searching what you own. It also allows you to add a specific location (which is always kept private) of the exact spot of where your item is. I could say that one of my books is on the third shelf on the white bookshelf in my bedroom!

You can also keep all of your items private if you don't want other people to see them. I definitely recommend this app for anyone who is moving, or just want to keep track of things!

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

I had heard a lot of great things about this book, and when I decided to finally read it, I was amazed. It's got such an amazing story inside the pages, and the characters are exactly what I pictured them as. The ending has a great, but horrific plot twist. The story in itself was wonderful, and I think that Stephen Chbosky did an incredible job at capturing what it's like to grow up being an awkward and uncomfortable kid. I would definitely recommend it.
Rating: 8

The movie was also amazing. It portrayed the characters perfectly and really had the perfect amount of humor to it. I'm the kind of person who always reads the book first, and I always recommend for others to so as well.

The Beginning

I've always wanted to have a blog, but I never really knew what to blog about. I don't have an exciting life full of traveling and adventures. I mostly just sit at home and read books, do word searches, and watch Netflix with my boyfriend. So I was sitting there, racking my brain, trying to figure out what I could possibly blog about. And then I realized the answer was write in front of my face the entire time! I could write about the books I've read, the different experiences and emotions I've had because of these books. I could write about the movies and the TV shows that I've seen, what my thoughts are on them and if I would recommend them to others. So this is what I'm going to do. Welcome to my blog, The Nerd World.
